This piece is an abstract exploration of light, movement, and emotion. Using acrylics and pastel sticks, I built layers of texture and swirling forms that seem to come alive. Warm tones of yellow and orange intertwine with earthy browns, while soft touches of blue and lilac bring a serene balance—like the sky brushing the horizon.
It’s not about capturing a specific scene, but about conveying a feeling—of warmth, connection, and something that feels alive.

This is the third piece in the series, an abstract seascape that captures the tranquil essence of the ocean through a harmonious blend of blue hues and textured strokes. The painting transitions from deep, vibrant blues at the bottom to lighter blues and whites towards the top, creating a gradient effect that evokes a sense of depth and movement.

The use of impasto technique, with its thick, tactile strokes, adds a dynamic quality to the piece, suggesting the fluidity and perpetual motion of the sea. Thalassa V immerses viewers in the shifting blues of the sea, capturing both its calm and its hidden power. This is a mixed media painting that combines oil, acrylic, and moulding paste. I was experimenting with blending realism and abstraction. The warm reds and yellows give the piece an intense, fiery feel, evoking a sense of energy and chaos, while the textures add depth and movement. In the middle of all this, there’s a small deer, painted with more detail, which contrasts with the looseness of the background and introduces a moment of stillnes and quiet focus. It’s a simple exploration of contrasts—calm and chaos, detail and abstraction.
